三菱自動車 はドイツのボーフム市を拠点とする電気自動車のイニシアチブ「ruhrmobil-E」に参加する。同プロジェクトはボーフム市が電気自動車の開発、生産、普及に積極的に取り組むことで、地域の雇用を維持するとともに、地球温暖化防止に寄与することを目標としている。自動車大手のオペル、米デルファイのドイツ法人のほか、ボーフムに拠点を置く企業や大学、公的機関が参加している。10日付の独業界紙『オートモビルボッヘ』（電子版）などが報じた。
